Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Area12 Studios (“Area12”, “we”, “us”), including the marketing site at area12.lol, the app at app.area12.lol, and creator sites published on *.area12.lol.

1. Service description

Area12 lets creators create, customize, and publish websites on free wildcard subdomains (*.area12.lol). You may use stock templates or supply your own HTML. Paid plans (Pro / Studio) are offered through Ko-fi and activated after human verification.

2. Accounts

Accounts are created and authenticated via Firebase Auth (email/password or Google). You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account.

3. Data we store

Neon Postgres — account, site, membership, billing-request, and published site data.
ImgBB — media uploads you choose to host through our media API.
Firebase Auth — authentication identity (email, provider ids).

4. Payments

Premium upgrades are paid via Ko-fi (ko-fi.com/ziadlive). Plan upgrades are human-verified: after payment, email proof to ziad@area12.lol. We may refuse or reverse upgrades for fraud or abuse.

5. User-generated HTML & content

If you upload or paste custom HTML (or other content), you are solely responsible for that content, including intellectual property rights, legality, and safety. Do not publish malware, phishing, stolen IP, illegal material, or content that harms others. Area12 does not pre-screen every page and is not liable for user content served on your subdomain.

6. Prohibited use

Abuse, spam, phishing, malware distribution, or unauthorized scanning of our systems
Infringing copyrights, trademarks, or other rights
Attempting to bypass plan limits, auth, or admin controls
Using the platform for illegal activity under applicable law
Impersonating Area12 or misleading visitors about identity/affiliation

7. Termination & takedowns

We may suspend or terminate accounts, sites, or subdomains for violation of these Terms, abuse, non-payment issues, legal risk, or to protect the platform. You may stop using the service and request account closure by contacting us.

Without prior notice, Area12 (and appointed moderators) may unpublish, archive, or take down any creator site on *.area12.lol that we reasonably believe violates these Terms, applicable law, or the rights of others. The subdomain may then show a removal page. Email ziad@area12.lol if you think this was a mistake.

8. Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not guarantee uptime, data permanence, or that custom HTML will behave identically across browsers.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Area12 Studios and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, revenue, or goodwill arising from your use of the service or user-generated content.
